Preferences

The Preferences tab of the Input IVR component offers three message types: "Text-to-Speech," "Audio File Upload," and "Other Sources."

Text to Speech

This component converts a typed message to audio and plays it to your customers. The following languages and language varieties are available:

  • Catalan (Spain)

  • Dutch (Netherlands)

Audio File Upload

To play a custom audio file message during the call, upload an audio file directly from a computer. The same audio file can be reused across other flows, including Play Audio, Standard IVR, and Input IVR components.

Before saving the flow, click the Test audio button to confirm the file plays correctly.

To archive audio files that are in use and store them away, open the Audio file dropdown, select the file, and click Archive. For more information, see Archiving an Audio File in this article.


Other Sources

This supports inserting a URL to access an external file in MP3 or WAV format, or selecting a variable used previously in the call flow, to play an audio file.

Before saving the flow, click the Test audio button to confirm the file plays correctly.

Note

If more than one message type form is filled out, only the form selected when the flow is saved applies.

Keypress inputs

Keypress inputs is available across all the message types. It configures the maximum number of digits the caller can enter through the dial pad and specifies whether an ending keypress is required.

Variables

The variables defined here store the value the caller enters through the dial pad, for later use in the flow. It is available across all the message types.
